The hotel is at a perfect location; just 5 mins walk to the Death Railways. Everything's perfect except the room is very dim (despite all lights are turned on). There are so many switches to turn off every nite (not like some hotel where 1 central switch will switch all or most off). The massage at the hotel is perfect after a day of sightseeing or walking.

Royal Resort and Spa is a beautiful hotel located along the banks of River Kwai. It features spacious accommodation with private balconies and the luxury of an outdoor pool. Beautiful tranquil open feel about the resort with immaculate gardens. The restaurant on the river was also a beautiful setting, the dinner delicious and the male singer and sound level (in the background) was amazing. The staff on Reception were very welcoming and professional and loved the welcome drink we were served while waiting for our room. The breakfast had lots of good options and again a beautiful open setting overlooking the gardens.
