Turaco Ngorongoro Valley, a Tribute Portfolio Lodge features an outdoor swimming pool, fitness centre, a garden and restaurant in Karatu. Amazing experience at Turaco during our honeymoon! We travel quite a lot and can in good conscience say that this was one of our best hotel experiences. Daniel, the hotel manager, is the definition of hospitality. He made us feel so extremely welcome that we came back for another night after spending four days in the Serengeti. All the other staff members were also great, very kind and respectful. Special thanks to Kelvin, who was our safari guide for one day and went above and beyond to make our trip unforgettable. The rooms are very spacious, nicely decorated, and spotlessly clean. It's also great to have a chimney in the room, as nights can get quite chilly during winter. The park area is also beautifully maintained. The food was delicious, with different four-course meals to choose from every evening. Additionally, for our game drives, they prepared great lunchboxes for us. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay for our Ngorongoro Crater game drives. It truly felt like a home away from home.

The Manor at Ngorongoro has an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a terrace and restaurant in Karatu. This 5-star hotel offers a bar. We liked everything at the Manor. Altus, the GM has put together an incredible experience for their guest. The staff was incredibly attentive, going above and beyond to please us. Charles, who was our main person there, left us a warm bath ready for when we got back from safari and set up a special private dinner for us. The property, overall, was picturesque; the photos aren't able to show how beautiful this property is. Meals were amazing as well, especially the dinners, which consisted of nightly 5-course tasting menus. There's a great selection of wine, which seems to have been hand-selected by Altus. We also got to ride their horses around the coffee plantation. The safari to the Ngorongoro Crater wasn't the best safari we experienced, but it's a different ecosystem from that experience in other regions of Tanzania.

Ngorongoro Marera Mountain View Lodge has an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a shared lounge and terrace in Karatu. With free WiFi, this 4-star hotel offers room service and a 24-hour front desk. All personal that was in regular contact with us did a fantastic job, especially Glory, Nelson and Chetrock, very client friendly and thrustworthy people.

Location was extremely good and the entrance very pleasing and satisfying. Staff were very friendly and humble and inviting and always did extremely to please us.
