This location is EVERYTHING! we left our car and walked over to Pelican Brewing for dinner and then back. To wake up to these views was the highlight of our entire trip so far. Our room was super clean and felt newly renovated. We loved the comfy bathrobes, the big bathtub, and the fireplace—it all made the stay extra cozy. Plus, we had a beautiful view of Haystack Rock right from our room! One of the best parts was how close the beach is—less than a 2-minute walk, which is amazing, especially with kids. We also booked the beach bonfire for $50, and it was such a fun experience. The staff set everything up and gave us everything for s’mores—sticks, marshmallows, graham crackers, and chocolate. It was the perfect beach night! There’s also a warm indoor pool and a hot tub on site, which our kids loved and we really enjoyed too. Honestly, this hotel feels like the most budget-friendly option in the area, but it delivers 100% and even more. Great value for the price. We stayed with our two kids and loved everything—no complaints at all. We’ll definitely be back!

Featuring a bar, Lightwell Hotel & Spa is located in Hood River. With a restaurant, the 4-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. Lovely stay over New Years. Staff was great. Small bit comfortable rooms. Soaking pool and sauna were really excellent and so was the food.
