Situated at the base of the wild Tsitsikamma Mountains, The Fernery overlooks an impressive 30-metre waterfall in the Sanddrift River gorge. From the moment you enter the property, you know you're in for a special treat! Upon entering reception, we were warmly greeted and efficiently checked in. After that, we had a personal tour around the property and then were shown our wonderful chalet. The deck is large and has a fabulous view of the canyon forest. The bed is comfortable. The bathing area is AMAZING. The restaurant staff is excellent, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu and the area. The food is great! We already have it in mind for our next visit to the Storms River area!

Misty Mountain Reserve has an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a shared lounge and terrace in Stormsrivier. Boasting room service, this property also provides guests with a barbecue. We only stayed on night, but wished for more. The setting is spectacular. Property is beautiful. Food was very good. Some of the staff went above and beyond. Some were fine. The bar tender, and the quad bike guide were fabulous. Definitely would recommend it.

I loved everything about the place, from the staff to the rooms, the bathroom wow you can even sleep there. Breakfast, well presented and very nice.

Located just 400 metres from Schreiner House, Die Tuishuise & Victoria Manor features accommodation in Cradock with access to a garden, a terrace, as well as full-day security. We were lucky enough to stay in one of the restored houses on Market Street. Amazing experience that takes you back in time.

Situated in Loerie, 53 km from Port Elizabeth, Intle Game Lodge features a seasonal outdoor pool and views of the sea. Jeffreys Bay is 27 km from the property. This place is spectacular! I arrived as a solo traveler but I'm already planning to return with my husband and friends next time. The staff go above and beyond – from welcoming you with a drink to offering advice for a walk. The staff clearly like to make their guests happy and they were so fun to talk with! Dinner was exceptional; it was the best meal I had in South Africa. The menu has many courses and options to choose from. The kitchen accommodated by dietary restrictions without question – thank you! I highly recommend going for a late afternoon/dusk stroll and sunrise walk. It is safe; the animals keep a healthy distance. I saw impalas, blue wilderbeest, giraffes, and zebras on my walks. There is a great 5km roundtrip walk to a viewing platform on the back of the property - amazing views of the river and valley area at sunset. At sunrise, most of the animals were gathered on the front lawn. Other things you can do on the property: Take a dip in the infinity pool, sun bathe on the deck, request a drive of the property if you don't prefer to walk, read some books (they have many on wildlife and the history and culture of SA), sit by the fire, enjoy the cigar lounge, order a drink at the bar (it seems to have everything and you can ask for a drink anytime) and sit outside by the firepit. I wish I stayed for several more days to do it all!

The House Quarters is set in Kenton on Sea, off Route 72, 22 km from Port Alfred. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. Free private parking is available on site. Beautiful view to the sea and the unit has a lovely finish (Townhouse room). The staff were lovely and kindly upgraded us to a nicer room. Breakfast was excellent as well, having a choice of a drink and a meal from the restaurant menu. Fantastic stay overall.
