Situated at the base of the wild Tsitsikamma Mountains, The Fernery overlooks an impressive 30-metre waterfall in the Sanddrift River gorge. Most beautiful location. The view was breathtaking and the facilities were amazing. Friendliest staff, had such a great stay.

Location was perfect for a stopover at Port Elizabeth. The owners Kevin and Gayle were very friendly and picked us up from the airport on the night we arrived. Room was clean and comfortable, and the hotel felt safe. Great breakfast options too!

The property is beautiful and situated at the centre of the town, making it easy for one to walk down the street to get to the shops.

Situated in Loerie, 53 km from Port Elizabeth, Intle Game Lodge features a seasonal outdoor pool and views of the sea. Jeffreys Bay is 27 km from the property. This place is spectacular! I arrived as a solo traveler but I'm already planning to return with my husband and friends next time. The staff go above and beyond – from welcoming you with a drink to offering advice for a walk. The staff clearly like to make their guests happy and they were so fun to talk with! Dinner was exceptional; it was the best meal I had in South Africa. The menu has many courses and options to choose from. The kitchen accommodated by dietary restrictions without question – thank you! I highly recommend going for a late afternoon/dusk stroll and sunrise walk. It is safe; the animals keep a healthy distance. I saw impalas, blue wilderbeest, giraffes, and zebras on my walks. There is a great 5km roundtrip walk to a viewing platform on the back of the property - amazing views of the river and valley area at sunset. At sunrise, most of the animals were gathered on the front lawn. Other things you can do on the property: Take a dip in the infinity pool, sun bathe on the deck, request a drive of the property if you don't prefer to walk, read some books (they have many on wildlife and the history and culture of SA), sit by the fire, enjoy the cigar lounge, order a drink at the bar (it seems to have everything and you can ask for a drink anytime) and sit outside by the firepit. I wish I stayed for several more days to do it all!

The House Quarters is set in Kenton on Sea, off Route 72, 22 km from Port Alfred. Guests can enjoy the on-site restaurant. Free private parking is available on site. Luxurious property in a fantastic location with stunning coastline views. Easy walking distance to the beach. Super comfy pillows and beds. The rooms are not air-conditioned but do have ceiling fans. Open balcony doors allowed sea breeze to cool the rooms. Fabulous Day Spa next door. Conveniently located near shopping centre with SPAR & TOPS, along with a Bakery and Coffee Shops.

The historic Royal St. Andrews Hotel, Spa and Conference Centre is located in Port Alfred. The rooms were very well turned out and very spacious, the staff was exceptionally accommodating, and, and the food delicious.
