Boasting a garden, terrace, shared lounge and free WiFi, The Guest House Japan Hakuba is situated in Hakuba, 2.8 km from Hakuba Iwatake Ski Area and 16 km from Hakuba Cortina Ski Area. Incredible hospitality from the hosts and staff. Very welcoming and friendly atmosphere created with other guests as well. Location is a short walk to the center of the town and the staff dropped us off and picked us up each day from the resorts we chose to ski.

Eternal Flame features a restaurant, bar and free WiFi. Free parking is available on site. The main street of Hakuba Echoland is a 6-minute walk away, and features many restaurants/bars. We arrived and were lucky enough to get upgraded to a cabin lodge for part of our stay. Nao and the team were fantastic from start to finish. We were provided the most DELICIOUS 3 course breakfast every morning. Nao even lent my partner and I goggles for the snow which we forgot to hire. Nao made recommendations for the mountains/snow conditions each day and dinner recommendations. Upon check out we were dropped off to the bus station as well. We will definitely be back when we next come to Japan. Thank you Nao for an unforgettable stay!!

Le Bocage – Hakuba Echoland Chalets are situated in Echoland, a popular nightlife site where more than 30 bars and restaurants can be found. The property offers free in-room WiFi and on-site parking. Excellent location close to buses to travel to all ski resorts and central to lots of places to eat. Staff were very friendly and courteous. Only thing was they didn’t have a mirror in the bathroom but provided one same day when queried which was excellent.

Centrally located in the Echo Land district, Hakuba Echo Hotel and Apartments offers comfortable rooms with mountain views. The shuttles to the major mountains every morning were incredibly convenient and got us there in time for first chair. (Thanks Ryan!)

It was cute/quaint and had character! Excellent location, shuttle stops for all the mountains were a five min walk or less, as were the ski rental shop and many restaurants. Loved hanging out in the common room. And most of all we LOVED Taka, he was the best. Such an amazing host. Definitely would stay here again if I came back to Hakuba and definitely would recommend to a friend.

Great location, very near the Happo Bus Station and a short walk to Nakiyama Slope at Happo One ski resort, so if you’re going to ski is a very good place to stay. The rooms were very neat and spacious, which is rare for Japan. There is a ski locker room, a nice onsen and vending machines.

Located just a 10-minute walk from Happo One Ski Resort, Hakuba Alpine Hotel features simple and clean rooms and outdoor hot spring baths. It is just a 5-minute drive from JR Hakuba Train Station. This hotel is much better than the photos shown in booking.com, especially the onsen, the photos shown in booking.com needed to be updated, to show the nice and clean onsen. The dinner and breakfast provided by the hotel, is the best Japanese meals my family ever had, It's very delicious and fresh, we enjoyed and finished everything in our plates. The onsen is not big but very nice, it has 2 onsen - one outdoor and one indoor, both are very warm and fantastic feel, especially after ski.

A 5-minute drive from Hakuba Happo-One Ski Resort, Brownie Cottages offers rental ski gear, and apartments and free-standing cottages with free Wi-Fi. Great location, excellent cottages.

Featuring an indoor and an open-air hot spring bath, Bergtour Marukita offers Japanese-style rooms, free wired internet and Japanese multi-course (kaiseki) dinners. We checked in on 2025/10/27 as a last-minute decision to stay in Hakuba for an early hike on the Happo trail the next morning. It turned out to be the perfect choice. The host and staff showed exceptional hospitality, and the place truly feels like a hidden gem, clean, comfortable, and wonderfully organized. We hope to visit again soon!
