From the moment we arrived until the very last minute, our stay at Miyajima Seaside was truly unforgettable. ​The hotel itself is a characteristic architecture, beautifully maintained, located in an enchanting location. ​The impeccable service provided by the entire staff, their kindness and courtesy were remarkable. They demonstrated extreme availability and sensitivity to our needs, ensuring every aspect of our visit was handled with grace and efficiency. ​It is rare to find a place where the setting, the structure, and the service align so perfectly. We wholeheartedly recommend and we look forward to return soon.

Jukeiso features Japanese-style rooms overlooking the majestic entrance gate (Torii) of Itsukushima-jinja Shrine, only a 5-minute walk from the Unesco World Heritage Site itself. Staying here was like entering another world. We were picked up by a very friendly and helpful driver who pointed out points of interest on the way up to the house on the hill. There we were greeted by a lovely lady who escorted us into the lobby were a friendly, young man checked us in. The lovely lady then escorted us up to our room and showed us were everything was, made us tea and made sure we had fitting yukatas to wear. The room was very spacious with an incredible view over to the iconic "floating" Tori gate. We spent our first our just sitting on the window sill with our tea taking in the breathtaking scenery. Dinner was an adventure of most excellent Japanese cuisine. The private onsen was lovely. It is a hop and a skip down some steps into the village and down to the sea and I recommend a walk at twilight and night to really enjoy the place before the daytripping crowds come in the morning. The staff were so nice and helpful and on the day of departure they offered us to leave our luggage with them while we went for a hike and when it was time to leave we could simply call them from the port and the driver brought it down from the hill in the little car. I would love to stay here again. Just perfect!

Just a 7-minute walk from Itsukushima Shrine, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Combining modern design with a homely decor, Kikunoya Hotel offers both Western and Japanese-style rooms. Excellent service, great amenities, the foot bath was very relaxing. Shuttle service to the ferry was fast and quite practical. Breakfast was nutritional and balanced. Overall a fantastic experience~

Suminoe Ryokan ligger i Onomichi, 25 km fra Oogamiyama Omoto Shrine og 28 km fra Saikon-ji Temple. Her er en have og gratis privat parkering samt gratis wi-fi. Old traditional Inn with a beautiful garden in the courtyard and views of the waterfront. Lots of common areas space. Our room had a garden view, was spacious, futons and pillows very comfortable. There is a good size fridge, a toilet, and a convenient sink for wash up and set all toiletries. Everything works well, wifi etc…onsen was very nice as well. The whole place is very clean and quiet, Breakfast and dinner are served in a room and you can enjoy the view of the garden if you leave the doors open, the food was very good, traditional Japanese. Fantastic location, basically across the street from the ferry we took for Onomichi. And by the bike path. The Main Street starts around the corner. All the staff is wonderful. The hostesses are incredibly kind, fun and caring, they will assist you with anything. They picked us up at the Setoda bus station, we were grateful. You can rent a bike nearby. Also I forgot my iPad on the JR train, they took the matter in their hands and I got it the next day!! We spent 3 nights and it was great. We will definitely come back if in the area again.

Miyajima Hotel New Kotobuki ligger centralt i Nakanocho på øen Miyajima, blot 5 minutters gang fra Miyajima Færgeterminal. The hosts are incredibly kind and helpful, with great suggestions for dinner and tourism!

Abuto Honkan ligger i Fukuyama, 2 minutters gang fra Bandai-ji Temple Kannondo, og har en terrasse, en restaurant og gratis privat parkering. Small ryokan but BIG on warm hospitality from arrival till check out. When we couldn’t find any eating places open, we asked at last minute if we could still get dinner from them. Not only did they acceded to our request, they whipped up a very sumptuous meal within a short time. The meal was so value for money

Green Spa Tsutsuga ligger i Akiota, 49 km fra Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park, og har en terrasse, en restaurant og direkte adgang til pisterne samt gratis privat parkering. A wonderful Japanese hotel - the onsen looks out over the countryside, the meals were superb, using fresh seafood and varied tastes, and the proximity to Sandankyo made for excellent exploring options.
