Staff are friendly and helpful, especially when I needed help with the check-in dates.

Air-conditioned rooms feature a seating area, a TV with satellite channels and an air cleaner. They come with an en suite bathroom and complimentary green tea. The lady at the reception with good command of English, and the gentleman who helped us with our luggage (also with good command of English) or extremely welcoming and helpful. They even helped us to book a cab for the next day. It was the best thing about the hotel. And the view is great, especially the garden behind the hotel.

The 3-star ryokan has garden views and is 28 km from Saikon-ji Temple. The ryokan features family rooms. Old traditional Inn with a beautiful garden in the courtyard and views of the waterfront. Lots of common areas space. Our room had a garden view, was spacious, futons and pillows very comfortable. There is a good size fridge, a toilet, and a convenient sink for wash up and set all toiletries. Everything works well, wifi etc…onsen was very nice as well. The whole place is very clean and quiet, Breakfast and dinner are served in a room and you can enjoy the view of the garden if you leave the doors open, the food was very good, traditional Japanese. Fantastic location, basically across the street from the ferry we took for Onomichi. And by the bike path. The Main Street starts around the corner. All the staff is wonderful. The hostesses are incredibly kind, fun and caring, they will assist you with anything. They picked us up at the Setoda bus station, we were grateful. You can rent a bike nearby. Also I forgot my iPad on the JR train, they took the matter in their hands and I got it the next day!! We spent 3 nights and it was great. We will definitely come back if in the area again.
