We loved the how attentive and thoughtful Fernando was. When we had to rise early for a tour, he rose early to have breakfast ready for us. The place is very close to a park (open Wednesday-Sunday). It’s a nice place to walk around, read a book, eat organic food from the cafe. It’s also not far from another park with a grotto of caves. We loved being close to nature and out of the main drag.

Posada El Zaguan is a renovated Mexican-style hotel in San Cristóbal de Las Casas. It boasts mountain views, a shared dining room and free breakfast. Free Wi-Fi access is available. It was such a great experience. The rooms are modest but comfy and have everything you need. The power shower was great too. The breakfast is super good. And the best is the staff attention. I was solo travelling and they really made me feel at home. I had a fantastic time in San Cris and I’ll definitely go back.
