Situated in the historic district of Guadalajara, Hotel Portobelo is close to all main tourist attractions. It offers air-conditioned rooms with private bathroom, a flat-screen TV and free Wi-Fi. Sparkling clean, staff were friendly and helpful and the location was fantastic. I think I've never stayed anywhere I've been more pleased with at the price point. Public transportation, bus and subway literally at the front door.

Juan, the front desk clerk was awesome. He was so polite and helpful. Even though I don’t speak Spanish, he was able to assist me every time I had a question. My room was clean and quiet and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was modern and well equipped and I really appreciated my hot shower. I really liked the location, I could easily walk everywhere I wanted to go but it felt hidden and private. My room even had a view! I stayed only one night so didn’t really get to use many of the facilities but the common areas were so well thought out and well-equipped. I would definitely stay there again.
