Douceur d'Azur is like a home away from home... Superb is the only way to describe this accommodation and the owners. From the very beginning, communication was great with any answers being promptly answered over booking messages. The home itself is situated in a gated estate just outside the busy city centre of nice. There are 2 car parking spots, the tram is about a 3 min walk, beach & promenade are 4 min walk, and a large grocery store less than 10 mins walk. Everything is situated near by which make it real easy for whether you want to go for a stroll, or get the train into the centre of Nice. The home itself is beautiful & clean. The host and her daughter were there to greet us when we arrived and were happy to give a quick run down of everything as well as answer any questions we had. There's a lovely garden with a lounge area which you can spend the evenings enjoying a nice meal and a drink, surrounded by the citrus trees growing in the garden (The host even let us pick the fruits to try!) Inside the home it's literally like stepping into your own holiday home in the south of France. Everything is authentic, just like in your own house. Theres a washing machine, dishwasher, large shower (has a foldable seat which is great for elderly people or those with mobility issues). The rooms are spacious and the decoration and attention to detail is second to none! If you're looking for the best place to stay in Nice, especially if you want to avoid the busy hussle of Nice centre but still have the opportunity to comminute into and out of the centre with easy, Douceur d'Azur is the best accommodation you will find & also very reasonably priced. We look forward to staying the again if we ever have the opportunity to visit Nice again
