There is so much that was great. The new accommodation is fabulous - 2 bed apartments, one a mezzanine, with the most tremendous architecture and stunning views over the Quinta’s valley. Fernanda was an extraordinary hostess, she went far out of her way to give us an intimate tour of the wine production and a perfect sunset tasting with nibbles. You really are a part of the farm, not separate - we were encouraged to wander through the vineyards and pick almonds from the trees. The Quinta is on a beautiful plateau with quiet roads, great for local wanders and runs, rural with dreamy views. The wine was amazing - some of the best while we had all the trip, and tremendous value. The swimming pool is quite chilly, though location is perfect, nestled in the vineyards.

Set within 23 km of Douro Museum and 38 km of Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary, D'Autor Village offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Valadares. It was the stunning scenery around there, facilities are great, well equipped kitchen. Great concept to follow the tradition and environmental friendly atmosphere. And , of course, friendly staff!

Set 43 km from Santa Maria da Feira Castle, Costa D'Ouro in Castelo de Paiva offers rooms with air conditioning and free WiFi. The location was great in many ways. It was completely silent and comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped and very clean. From the window of upstairs, you can enjoy sunshine all the time. It's located nearby the river beach and very nice reasonable restaurant which opens from 15:00. If you stay as a family with children, we highly recommend this place with a lot of activities (river beach, little animals and nearby pool etc). The whole building was clean and useful with an air conditioner.

Located in Peso da Régua and only 3.1 km from Douro Museum, Casa de Sergude provides accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking. Great host, beautiful views, very nice house a few minutes from the city center, the house has a very spacious kitchen, there's plenty of plates, silverware, pans and pots and the host even left a baskets with snacks for us, there's a nice seating area with a Smart TV and the bathroom has a big shower with good water pressure, the beds are comfortable too. The house was very peaceful day and night and also has a private parking which was nice to have.

Set within 20 km of Douro Museum and 32 km of Our Lady of Remedies Sanctuary, Castas do Douro offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Tabuaço. Love the view from the apartment and the attentiveness of the hosts who went out of their way to help us book a restaurant and provided great recommendations on activities in Douro Valley. Apartment was also clean, new and well equipped - though if you plan to cook, essential seasonings were not available.

Situated in Vila Real in the Norte Region region, Quinta da Laceira - Douro Valley - Alojamento Local has a balcony. Lovely place in the heart of Portugal, What a cheerful and kind welcome from the owners. Everything was incredible. I recommend this dog friendly place, and please, If you stay over there, go and visit the ' miradouro de são Leonardo ' and then drive to Provesende. Amazing place to stay. Loved it and will repeat.

Set in Vila Nova de Foz Coa, 18 km from Longroiva Hot Springs and 42 km from São João da Pesqueira Wine Museum, Casas da Barca offers air conditioning. Bruno was most kind to meet us to check in and provided useful information about the town. The apartment was neat, clean and well equipped. Parking was easy right outside the house.

Wow, what a beautiful house for a family vacation. The house is brand new, super clean and well maintained and feels like a five star hotel. The breakfast is superb and Helena, the owner is so warm and welcoming, which made us feel right at home. I would wholeheartedly recommend staying at this place and would love to come back again.
