Amazing stay in Kaunas!
I had a wonderful experience staying at this flat. It's beautifully maintained—very clean, modern, and fully equipped with everything you might need. The kitchen had all the essentials, and the bed was super comfortable. The location was great, making it easy to explore the city. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Kaunas!

It was a lovely place to visit and exceeded our expectations. If anything we probably would have liked an extra day. We also did not factor in that a lot of places are closed on a Monday and that was our main day there - so places like the castle and museum were not open on the Monday. Also the main square is currently (May 2025) being renovated and is likely to take most of 2025 to finish. It did not spoil our visit - we may just us that as an excuse to have to go back again!

It is a very interesting city, however, there is a vast amount of structural work going on throughout the city, impacting on some the "tourist" destinations.
The KGB nuclear bunker and the "devils" museum are both well worth a visit.
The train to Vilnius is a great way to see the countryside - it's fast, clean and not expensive!

I don't think of the people of this city are use to receiving visitors., or a black one for that matter. I got asked why I was visiting by a fellow passenger I got off the plane with and he said he is surprised that I was visiting. The immigration officer asked why I was there with a stoney face. One person asked why I was visiting their country? and I had to reassure him that I wasn't there to take anything from the country. I was simply there to participate in the city marathon and will leave soon after.

Recommended for romantic weekend or longer couples or friends city break. Helps if you are a good walker. Huge range of historical architecture from timbre frame residential to cathedrals and ultra modern. More churches than you can shake a stick at. Unexpected street art and park spaces. When sun is out on the boulevard Kaunas has an almost Italian feel to it. One hour train journey to the capital Vilnius. Nice contrast between old town and new town. Some large parks and river walks. Food was similar to UK or slightly more but not too bad, Average prices: Cappuccino 3.5, three course lunch with a drink 22. Bus from airport 1 Euro. Train to Vilnius 22. Most shops will speak English. Just book it!

Very pleasant place to stay for a weekend and maybe couple of days more. Beautiful old town places between two rivers, scenic landscape where Nemunas and Neris meet, and there are places to see if you love art-deco in architecture.

We had a party of seven for a weekend city break and the Daugirdas Hotel made our visit to Kaunas an even better experience. The hotel, its staff and all the requests we had made was fulfilled. The breakfast was very nice with a good selection of hot and cold choices. The location is right alongside the river and is in an excellent position to start exploring this lovely city. I would certainly book the Daugirdas Hotel again and also recommend it to anyone.
The apartment was fairly clean, and the location was somewhat quiet. It was easy to get in (once you find the place), unlike my last Lithuanian apartment stay. It is a pretty expansive space, so it is a good value for the money. The apartment is within leisurely walking distance to the Akropolis and a bit further to the city centre from there, so that is also quite convenient.
We arrived around 9pm and there was a parking spot at the hotel. Clean room and comfortable bed.
Also supportable staff who suggested us a restoran with a path to it and to be hurry to park)
The building stays a little bit further from the road, before the casino if you go from the city centre.
The service was great, the staff were very polite, variety of breakfast options, good breakfast. The location of the hotel is very convenient as it is located in the city centre of Kaunas.
