This place is an oasis of peace not far from so many sites, for example, Erice, Segesta, Trapani, the beach and the lovely Parco dello Zingaro. But you are just as well to stay among the vines and olives, amid the cool breeze even in the summer heat. We learned to make fresh pasta, local sweets such as cassatelle and ricotta cheese thanks to chef extraordinaire Saverio, who whipped up a lovely farm-fresh dinner every evening for us and the other guests. Filippo organized a wine testing of his different varietals (Muller-Thurgau, grillo, nero d’avola among them) all the while sharing the rich story of his family’s place. AND his battle to remain authentic and organic against external forces, from organized ‘delinquents’ to commercial interests.

This was the perfect villa for our short trip. We had enough of space, cutlery, towels and other necessities for group of 5 people. We really enjoyed the atmosphere of villa, there are a lot of seating and eating areas both inside and outside, even near the pool. Because of the pool, views and atmosphere we even spent half a day chilling at the villa – and it was not enough! We wish we could spend there more time 😊 Great bonus that you can put up some music near the pool and it has also small jacuzzi zone. And special big thanks goes to the hosts, because we felt very welcomed and comfortable here. We were welcomed by hosting family with their home-made delicious dinner, which was a total surprise for us, as we didn’t request it specifically and we arrived quite late! Also, they left us some bubbles and water in the fridge, and during other day gave us small home-made dessert, which we really appreciated. They also helped us with small requests and with local sightseeing recommendations. Overall, everything was perfect for us and we wish we could go here another time for longer period.

The villa is very modern, spacious and had everything we needed and more. There were plenty of heaters and hot water so we could feel cozy. The owner was excellent and went above and beyond to help us plan our activities. We had an excellent time at Villa Bonifato and highly recommend it to everyone. We loved being secluded in the middle of the vineyards and olive groves and there was plenty of space to park.
