This was one of our favourite places in our month-long trip in NZ. It had an amazing location, with huge beautiful gardens and lovely views. It was located uphill (which was a bit of a challenge for our small car, but once up, we didn't want to leave). We were upgraded to a lovely double room which opened up to the garden. The shared spaces were excellent, such as the well-kitted kitchen, outside sitting areas, and the large bathroom. The hot tub and breakfast were a great bonus too! Our hosts were very nice, friendly and chatty and we would certainly recommend staying here!

It is centrally located right at the beach, and one can walk across. We just strolled along to the beach to the Marina, which has lots of dining options. The hosts, Don and Heather, were both warm and considerate. They took every care to make us comfortable and gave us helpful advice on where to dine and what route to take to our next stop. The breakfast was substantial, exquisitely presented, and served on a deck with a full water view. What a great way to start a lovely day in Whitianga.
