Salmon River Cabin is a recently renovated apartment in Þingeyjarsveit where guests can make the most of the garden and barbecue facilities. Stayed here for 3 nights along my way around the Ring Road to slow down and rest for a couple days. I stayed at a lot of cool places in Iceland and this was my favorite. Absolutely loved the location, the space itself, how cozy/comfortable it was and how quiet it was nestled in nature and 10 minute drive to Husavik. Large enough for a small family and small enough for solo traveler.

Cabin in the lava. Near Húsavík offers accommodations in Husavik, 22 miles from Godafoss Waterfall and 7.5 miles from Husavik Golf Club. This is a truly fabulous place, completely dark and quiet, and we were incredibly privileged to see the northern lights for three September nights on the trot, getting brighter each night. The cabin is well-equipped, and we very much enjoyed our stay. We did not use the BBQ or outdoor heaters but they were there if we had wished to use them. We went whale watching, and GeoSea (hubby not sure if he fancied it, but we went when it opened and it was lovely and quiet. Very nice spa as it is sea water and so does not smell like sulphur... in case the smell bothers you. Hubby agreed afterwards that it was a highlight of our holiday).

A beautiful home. We truly enjoyed our stay — the house is spacious, comfortable, and perfectly tucked away in nature, which gave us the privacy and peace we were looking for. We also loved the outdoor seating and the cozy atmosphere overall.

Laxhús is located in Laxamýri, 53 mi from Akureyri. Free private parking is available on site. Husavik is 5 mi away. All units feature a flat-screen TV. Some units have a seating area and/or terrace. Beautiful view! I slept like a baby. Really comfortable and cozy place. Love it!

Featuring free WiFi and a barbecue, Skógar Sunset Guest house offers accommodations 8.1 mi from Húsavík. Each self-catering studio features a kitchen with a stove top, microwave and fridge. Although the facility is run for several years it looks completely new. It was very quiet and the only sounds we heard were birds.

Saltvík Farm Guesthouse offers accommodations in Húsavík, 26 miles from Godafoss Waterfall and 2.7 miles from Husavik Golf Club. Great breakfast and reception (staff). Bedroom well equipped and super clean.

Granastaðir Guesthouse offers accommodations in Granastaðir, 18 miles from Godafoss Waterfall and 23 miles from Husavik Golf Club. It is very clean. Everything works perfectly. It is in a soothing location. We had the sensation Svana has put her entire heart in the place.

Offering garden views, Kaldbaks-kot cottages in Húsavík offers accommodations and a garden. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking, and free Wifi. Very nice area of cottages near the lakes. Birds sang all the time, but it didn't disturb us at all. Location is close to Husavik and it can be easily reached.
