APA Hotel Sendai-eki Itsutsubashi is conveniently located a 2-minute walk from Itsutsubashi Subway Station. The view from the upper floors was amazing. You could see the snow-covered city down below and the shinkansen go back and forth. From the booking process (getting us a room with a view) to the checkout process (getting us a taxi to the station), the staff was courteous, very accommodating, and even gave our toddler a goodie bag. I wasn't expecting the open-air onsen, so that was a nice bonus, especially during our winter stay. We will definitely stay here again the next time we visit.

APA Hotel Miyagi Furukawa-Ekimae is situated in Osaki, 36 km from Shiogama Shrine and 44 km from Sendai City Community Support Center. Beautifully modern, clean and warm hotel. (We visited Furukawa in mid-winter.) A cosy room with a small but lovely bathroom with an excellent shower. Comfortable beds. Nice big TV.

APA Hotel Yamagata Ekimae Odori is located a 7-minute walk from Yamagata Train Station and provides modern and well-equipped rooms with flat-screen TVs and free wired internet. Breakfast was good. Nice location, visible up the avenue from the train station. Street with many restaurants is back toward the station, last major cross street before reaching it.
