It was a perfect place to stay in Alsace! Maurice and his spouse have also been very helpful to everything we needed. They prepared our breakfast, we had a great conversation and the suggested us places to go. Would certainly go again!

Les Ecrins is absolutely worth a recommendation. The house itself is a beautifully restored villa from 1900. The interior decoration is beautifully done and very tasteful. Our room was spacious and although it was at the front of the building, traffic noise was hardly noticable. If you're an extremely light sleeper, you might want to ask for a room that's not at the front. Breakfast is served in one of the rooms at ground floor, where a woodfire is burning in the morning. Breakfast itself is more than plentyful and consists of croissants, bread and cake with an assortment of self-make jams and honey, cheeses, ham, yoghurt, apple juise and coffee. It's really more than enough to start your day in the best possible way. Both hosts are extremely friendly and helpful; they make staying at Les Ecris very enjoyable.

Perfekt place for us to recover. Very quiet. Located outside the village in a beautiful place, pure nature. Perfekt for many kinds of sport activities or exploring the alsace. Very friendly owner. We will be back.

The location and the owner are both wonderful. The house is a part of a beautiful little farm. The owner was flexible and friendly enough to allow a friend that spontaneously showed up to stay as well without additional costs, which was a very nice extra. We were here for the bikeparks Lac Blanc and La Bresse and the location is perfectly situated in between the lifts.

The cottage is insanely cute, arranged with style and charm. There are tons of authentic little details that please the eye, at the same time it's very functional (well equipped kitchen, perfectly working bathroom, good lighting in the bedroom and reading area etc.). We didn't mind when it rained and could stay in. Beautiful view from the windows.
