The peace and quiet, the outside verandah to sit and relax, the local walks through the fields and woods... Good kitchen facilties... And it's great to have a fridge.... Also watched Little Owls entering the Eaves feeding their young...

Very clean, comfortable and homely. Marcos, the host was exceptional. A real gentleman who went above and beyond. He offered a lovely evening meal with some local wines for a very reasonable price. I enjoyed the authenticity of staying a small rural village. Perfect stop for fellow cycle tourists.

We had a wonderful stay at the « Manoir des Gâtines ». The location is perfect to visit the surroundings of Saumur - lots of historical sites and wine yards. The swimming pool is a real bonus especially when it’s hot outside. We couldn’t ask for better hosts - gently and nice and the food was fabulous with local products.
