We loved Ashtree House! Chris and Bev are both super friendly and we felt at home straight away. We booked both the rooms and they were both beautiful. Everything was super clean. The breakfast in the morning was delicious too. We had to have breakfast early, because we had to catch the ferry back from Dover to France, but that was no problem for them. We had a delicious Indian dinner at Manzil in the evening. We only stayed for one night, but we wished we booked more nights, because Ashtree House was fantastic and the area is lovely too.

The décor, bed and bathroom are more to the standard of a 4* luxury hotel than a private guest house. Everything from the luxury toiletries, USB sockets, free Wi-Fi, to the fresh fruit in the bowl and pint of milk in the fridge nothing has been missed. Sitting on your private terrace overlooking the garden and valley with a glass of wine listening to bird song and the distant whistle of the steam railway whilst being bathed in the sunshine of the setting sun is just perfect.
