Margaret has to be the kindest, most passionate and most helpful hostess we’ve ever met! We were greeted by her and her absolutely adorable little dog and felt right at home. Our room was 100% spotless (so was the rest of the house), the beds were comfy (and I’m quite picky when it comes to mattresses), there was fresh water, coffee, tea and even some delicious cookies. A TV as well as a hair dryer is also available if needed. The breakfast was fantastic (full Scottish breakfast as well as sweet options, fruit, yogurt and cereal) and Margaret gives you the option to make changes to your breakfast every morning if you wish. It definitely gets you prepared for the longest hikes! The location is beautiful - there’s several options for shorter hikes (5-6km) in the area but also a bus that takes you to Fort William in 20 minutes - just be aware that it doesn’t run that frequently so make sure you get the last bus (or train) back! We missed it once because the Scotrail App showed an option that was actually a reservation only train, which we only found out after trying to buy a ticket for it at the station. It all worked out fine thanks to the amazingly friendly nature of the Scottish people! There’s a small (but quite pricey) supermarket in Spean Bridge as well as a lunch cafe with outdoor seating. There’s also a local restaurant but we didn’t try it. After coming home from a long day, Margaret would usually greet us at the door and make sure we’re okay and had a good day. It really felt like coming home. Thank you for making our trip special! We’ll definitely be back!

Lovely & handy guesthouse to discover many beautiful places in the Central Western Highlands, like the Great Glen, Glen Coe, Glen Nevis, Fort Williams, Glenfinnan, etc. The owners are particularly welcoming and service-minded. We simply loved the place!

Beautiful BnB - gorgeous rooms in a house with an interesting history. Our seven-year old, and we too, loved it. Also appreciate the very kind host who cooked us a breakfast early and before the usual breakfast time as we had to leave early to catch the ferry to Skye. In walking distance to the village, but quiet, amidst nice old trees.

The place is very cosy and host - Alison is super welcoming. We’ve been there for one night only, as we’ve been doing road trip in Highlands but we would def stay there for longer next time. You have bedroom, little kitchen space and bathroom to use with all necessary facilities to chill in after hikes or long trip in the car. The breakfast was prepared in advance before we arrived, with variety of options to pick for yourself.
