Wonderful hosts. A beautiful rural setting on a working dairy farm. Central to Friesland lakes and countryside. Immaculately presented with 4 ensuite rooms leading on to individual terraces and a lawned garden. A cooked breakfast prepared for each of us based on our choices; plus a lovely selection of cereals, fresh fruit, breads, cold meats - perfect! Tea and coffee making facilties in our room was a welcome surprise. Ample parking for cars. Nothing was too much trouble.

The hotel is set in the middle of nature but there is still a bus that takes you to the city centre. The beach at the lake (Heidemeer) was do-able on foot, so we spent a nice afternoon there too.
