Featuring a garden and views of mountain, Gästehaus Krone is a bed and breakfast situated in a historic building in Schönengrund, 19 km from Säntis. The owner was friendly and very helpful. As there were no other guests, she kindly gave us our choice of rooms which we appreciated, We chose one overlooking the road but the only sounds we heard were of cowbells as they lulled us to sleep! There was a large common room with a kettle and plenty of tables and chairs to drink tea, play cards pr just relax. Our room was prettily decorated with matching pillows and bedspread and oodles of space including two chairs. What a shame we only had the one night to stay.
