My husband and I enjoyed our stay with Laura and Brian immensely. There we cookies, pastries, tea and coffee really available upon arrival and throughout our entire stay. For the self catered breakfast, there were lots of hot/cold cereals, breads, pastries (gluten-free options), juices, yogurts, local cheeses, and all the fixings. Each morning, Laura had scones or some other baked good heating in the oven. Heating your own food for dinner or eating take out was an option, too, which we took advantage of one evening. Our room was very beautiful, modern, and cozy with a very comfortable bed. The whole place was spotless. Laura suggested restaurants and places of interest off the beaten path. She was a gracious, thoughtful, wonderful host - some of the best hospitality on our month long trip! Thanks for everything, Laura. We loved our stay with you. Highly recommend.

Nicky was able to accommodate us for the guided tour (a later start time) and I'm so glad it worked out - the tour was one of my favorite parts of the overall trip to Scotland.

The location was very lovely, on a hill overlooking Stromness, Graemsay and Hoy islands. It is also convenient for Stromness and the Northlink Ferry to Scrabster and for Houton for the Orkney Islands ferry to Hoy (Lyness). The rooms were very clean and modern and the ensuites looked almost brand new. Our host, Deborah, was an ideal person to be running a B&B and had a lovely manner. The breakfasts met all our requirements and were very full. The dining room has beautiful views. We would certainly visit again and recommend this B&B to anyone without hesitation.

Our cooked breakfast was delicious. I wish we had been able to spend more time there.
