Fantastic location. The partial Mountain View allowed easy monitoring of the best weather moments for hiking. High quality sheets on the bed and bathroom was clean with good water pressure and on demand hot water. Large movie library and comfortable living room furniture that was great for waiting out bad weather.

We love that the accommodation is centrally located in National Park village (not that the village is big). Graeme & Lynley also sent us clear instructions how to get into the house all by ourselves, which was really convenient as we travelled after work and reached there quite late in the evening. Everything in the accommodation really makes us feel like "home". There were even kitchen staples that we could use to cook our meals! Love it!

This holiday house has excellent views of Ruapehu, Tongariro and Ngauruhoe so we could see the changing face of these mountains throughout the day and night as the cloud and the mist came and went. The house is well placed to easily drive to the various access points to the Tongariro National Park, such as Whakapapa and Ohakune The kitchen was well equipped and spacious, so preparing meals was no hassle. The bedrooms were reasonably spacious, and the beds were very comfortable. The hosts, Michael & Nicola, were very approachable, great to chat with and very helpful with local information. We would have loved to stay longer. This is a magical part of NZ (at least for an Australian !).

Place is comfortable, warm and cozy, even for a family of six people, 5 adults and one large teenager staying in it Excellent heat pump in the living room that maintain the whole place warm, but the bedrooms still have oil heaters for extra comfort. Kitchen and laundry fully equipped with appliances. Living room with set of sofas and big TV with Freeview. Good mattresses. Amicable landlord that helped with invaluable tips regarding mount Ruapehu visit. He also offered the space with table tennis and pool table in the next door available to us but we didn’t have time to use it.

Located between the start and finish points of the Tongariro Alpine Crossing, Tongariro Holiday Park features a hot tub, barbecue facilities and rooms with either a balcony or a patio.

The staff were so helpful providing us with information on what to do instead of the Tongariro crossing as the weather was not ideal and the buses cancelled. The cabin we stayed in was perfect, everything we needed. The kitchen was great, enough space and well equipped. The bathroom facilities were very clean and had music playing which was nice! Well located for Tongariro National Park

Location to the hiking trails was only about 12 minutes away. Small Four Square located at gas station had good options for food supplies and essentials.
