The property was clean and modern, and was fully equipped with kitchen utensils, cleaning materials, and in the bathroom, we found shampoo and other toiletries. As we were travelling with hand luggage only, this was an absolute bonus for us. Very comfortable beds.

Lovely and cosy cottage wood burning fire set up on arrival. It was a home from home. Excellent communication throughout from owners. Scenery breathtaking.

They provided bread, eggs, butter, milk, marmalade and orange juice. We brought our own bacon and used the facilities to make filled breakfast rolls. The Bothy is exceptionally cosy and comfortable. Very clean and well provided, we could have comfortably stayed the night without bringing a thing with us. Very nicely set, the landscape around the bothy fits the rustic feel well, with fields of sheep and toffee cows all around. All in all a very pleasant stay with lovely hosts, our only regret is not planning something to do in the area to give us a reason for another night!

Bastiaan Olanda

Large, extremely well decorated house with lots of privacy. The fire place was already lit when we arrived to give it an instant warm welcome. The hosts are extremely friendly and welcoming. It's a little challenging to find it at first so please stick to the given instructions and you'll be OK. Tip for future tenants to do your groceries already prior to arriving as it is very remote (which is why you would like to stay here 😀). Views across the fields are amazing!

The property was amazingly situated in the countryside. Equipped with modern amenities, warm and very cosy. It was pure escapism away from the hustle and bustle from city life. A delightful welcome pack of milk, bread, eggs, jam and butter. Plenty of opportunities to walk in the countryside, a number of interesting local attractions, Glamis Castle to visit and explore.

Derek Regatul Unit

Beautifully presented and converted to the highest standard. It was an absolute pleasure to stay and relax at Cullew Bothy. The hot tub is easily the best we’ve used too. Powerful jets and plenty of room to stretch out and relax in. The garden is enclosed and secure for letting the pooches out for a sniff it just to chill while we relaxed in the hot tub. Kirriemuir is only 10 mins by car away, with the larger town of Forfar around 15 mins or so. We’ll be heading back to Cullew Bothy again!
