Pure perfection! This hotel is an oasis of joy and relaxation. The facilities are a little bit outside of Puerto Jimenez, which renders a feeling of entering a retreat. The distances to the small city/village center are walkable; optionally, bikes are rented out at the hotel. Everything was simply perfect: staff, breakfast, gym, luxurious room, amazing pool, very affordable room service. The staff helped with booking tours to the nearby Corcovado National Park and provided information on other activities like night tours and kayaking; additionally, information about (public) transport was also given at any time.

It is a room in a house, in a short walking distance to everything you may need, with windows open to a nice garden - you will be woken up by birds in the morning. The owner is wonderfully helpful and friendly, you will enjoy his company and advice (and the company of his cat and dog). The place is clean and very convenient. You will share the bathroom. Staying at this place is a kind of good experience by itself, you will be immersed in local life and bring home good memories. Strongly recommended.

Bolita Trails and Lodging offers accommodation in Dos Brazos de Rio Tigre, 14 km from Puerto Jimenez. The property offers 14 kilometers of hiking trails, adjacent to Corcovado park. What an amazing experience. The hostel is situated on the border of Corcovado National Park and offers a budget friendly alternative to hiking in the jungle and spotting wildlife. We saw sooo many different types of birds,insects and even a snake. The hiking trails are easy to find and well maintained. Bear in mind that you will need to trek 30 min to get to the hostel and bring enough food to cook yourself during the duration of your stay. There is no fridge, so plan accordingly.

Danta Corcovado Lodge offers its guests a library, Wi-Fi access in public areas free of charge and extensive gardens. Tea and coffee services are available from 06:00 to 22:00 hours. The outdoor reception and dining area are a great open space, welcoming guests and making us feel very comfortable and relaxed! You can see how much creativity and love for detail went into constructing all buildings and cabins at Danta Corcovado Lodge. I loved the way the cabins were built and especially the “outdoor” bathrooms (still full privacy guaranteed).

The best place we stayed in Costa Rica. Dario and Frederica have set up something special here in Dos Brazos, near the Corcovado National Park. Set in the heart of the jungle, in a lovely small Gold Mining village this beautiful guest house is a fantastic place to stay. Great welcome, the most comfortable bed, shower and space of our trip so far. A lovely fresh breakfast, great self catering facilities (but Frederica is a chef and will cook your dinner). Watching the jungle birds from their deck was a true joy. They went out of their way to book us a guide for a day exploring the jungle - a shout out to Jose who was a brilliant tour guide to the jungle. He grew up in the village, was fantastically knowledgeable about animals, history and Costa Rican life. Speaking excellent English. He is also a great artist - get him to show you the furniture he makes. Dos Brazos is also worth a mention such a lovely little village, the residents there welcomed guests so warmly, everyone we met had a smile and hola. Try the homemade ice creams advertised from small house! Perfect treat after a hot walk. La Casita means little house, but this is a little house with a big heart thanks to Dario and Frederica’s love and attention to detail. Great location to allow you explore the wilderness of nature while enjoying the modern comfort. The hosts are a very friendly and helpful couple. When we were leaving, I said to Nony, I don’t want to return the key to you because my heart wants to stay here.

The location of this property near the center of Puerto Jiminez and on the ocean with a view of the sea and the boats was perfect. Coffee on the porch with the fresh air was so relaxing. Accommodations were comfortable and spotless, with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. We booked last minute but I would book again in a heartbeat. The owners were very nice and greeted us promptly upon our arrival to answer any questions and explain the layout. The property is adjacent to a business for kayak rentals, which we did not use this time but have in the past, and that would be very convenient for travelers visiting who also want a kayak adventure. We were a couple, but the accommodations would be sufficient for a small family or group.
