The room was exactly like in the pictures. The owner shared with us many useful information (how to get around the city, how to reach the airport), he booked for us a good, well priced tour to Uros island. The accomodation was worth every cent. It offers great value for money. The breakfast was above expectations for Peruvian standards. We felt welcome and we wouldn't hesitate to book again if coming back to Puno. This place truly deserves it's rating.

Only Lina was able to speak English but nevertheless we were able to communicate with the husband and the kids. Lina is a great cook and she served us traditional food (simple). When we needed a lift they were always on time. The loft is nice and the best part of it is the balcony. The shower has hot water.

We came to relax for one night and we could not have wished for a better stay. The room was really nice, had wonderful view and the breakfast was by far the best we've had in Peru. I definitely recommend using the transfer the hosts offer as it is reliable, you get to see the surroundings and it is not expensive at all.

The property is located 1 minute walk to the main square of Taquile Island and it is extremely clean with nice and big bedrooms. I would like to thank Mario our host that took extremely good care of us: he assisted our arrival on the island and then walked with us around showing the Inca ruins (an unique experience no tour will do) and then came with us to the new boat pick up point. Before finishing this review, I would like to stress that this property is a true experience of life with the community on Taquile island. Please do not book here if you look just for classic tourist hotel style because this is NOT what you will find. A few suggestions for prospective travelers: - bring with you a disposable battery for phone cause in the island there is no classic electrical outlets in the homes - ask Mario to give you contacts for booking speed boat tickets (kollasuyo agency) cause all the tour are 1 day and is difficult to find the way back - enjoy the spirit of taquile and its community with no Wi-Fi with an open mind We truly loved this experience, chatting with Mario and his wife and eating with them. I highly recommend this beautiful stay in such a special spot, it is not everyday that you wake up on a floating island surrounded by a beautiful lake. Joel & his wife Luz were extremely helpful & welcoming from day 1. I arrived on Sunday evening from Cuzco (Peru Rail) and Joel arranged a taxi to pick me up from the station to the small port (15soles) where he picked me up on his boat. The room is massive and beautifully decorated with glass windows. They prepared a nice dinner and gave me a hot water bottle as it’s very chilly at night although you have plenty of duvets and blankets and a heater to keep you warm. The next morning I woke up to a beautiful scenery and Joel and Luz lent me the traditional custom and took me around the totora boat to show me some of the other islands, the local school and they medical center (the doctors come only twice a week so for emergencies they have to head to Puno). We also stopped to collect some fish from his fishing net which was their lunch that day. I was initially planning on staying one night only however as Joel explained to me the story of the islanders, how they live and the very welcoming expedience I extended my trip by an extra night. If you want to experience the real Uros lifestyle, with a very welcoming family this is the one for you!

Bardzo pomocny gospodarz, odebrał mnie z innej wyspy po przyjeździe, pomógł zorganizować wycieczki na inne atrakcje jeziora. Po pobycie odstawił do Puno. Polecam.

Very kind ladies, the room was big and comfortable with a good shower, and the breakfast was really delicious! We would come back definitely.

Situated in Puno, Titicaca Aruntawi Lodge Peru offers accommodation with views of the lake, and breakfast included every day. Eddy and his family are wonderful. They made getting to and from their island so easy (and we had a very early bus when we left). We stayed two nights and whilst this experience may not be for everyone, it has been a highlight of our trip so far. The accommodation is (and has to be) very simple. You're on a floating platform of reeds! But it's a good size, the bed is comfortable and lovely and warm (helped by Eddy's mama's wrapped hot water bottles). It gets COLD at night as others have mentioned but tucked up snugly it doesn't matter. Bathroom facilities are verrrry basic, if you like cold water you're in for a treat. And it really isn't the place for anyone unsteady on their feet. You're walking on planks on top of reeds and climbing uneven stairs. If these are not an issue then treat yourself to a couple of nights there, it's magic. Also, Eddy includes a great 2 hour tour which is a must. He took us out at 10am and we had lunch at one of the other islands (also included).
