Breakfast was excellent and they constantly refreshed the food items as they were used up. They also provided cartons and paper bags for takeout. The accommodation was clean and comfortable with well kept grounds. It all ran like a well oiled machine. The pool was lovely after a day’s hiking and there were plenty of places to sit in the sun or under the trees to have a drink and a meal if you wanted to stay on the property. Of the five places we stayed during our trip through New England this was the clear winner.

Located in the centre of downtown Bar Harbor, this motel boasts a seasonal heated outdoor swimming pool is provided. Location fantastic, right in middle of town. Newly renovated room, very comfortable king bed. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast ample whilst not flash.

We had supper at 555 and it was top shelf. We had the chef’s selection and left the choices to our wait staff with the choices. She did an amazing job as every bite was delicious! And the wine as well as was paired so well.
