Situated in Piruquina, 12 km from Castro, HelChiloé Cabañas offers a garden and free WiFi. Each of the units features a living room with dining area and a TV. A fridge and kettle are also provided. At arrival we were told that there was no place despite our confirmed booking for two nights in a cabana. After some resistance form our side, we were offered a smaller alternative room without cooking possibilities. Being on a bicycle with no restaurants nearby a problem but apparently not the problem of the lady landlord. The location is 3 km’s different from what is indicated on Booking.com Instead of the indicated quiet environment, it is located only 20 meters from the Ruta 5, a busy rooad. Despite the promise on Booking, no Wifi available. Wrong tel. number on Booking. We don’t mind so much if things are going differently as expected and promised. However, the day before we should arrive, we contacted the lady for location details and our arrival time, since we had our doubts about the correct location. No response was given. No communication at all. The ‘take it or leave it’ attitude from the loud speaking lady on the telephone towards her employee we considered as rude, unpolite and not really Chilean. An apologize would have been appreciated. The only thing we could do was paying the full amount for less.
