I was originally supposed to only stay one night at Paloma Lodge from 6 Nov to 7 Nov, but because I enjoyed my stay here so much, I decided to extend for 4 more nights, only checking out on 10 Nov instead. Paloma Lodge is very well located, with only about 5 mins’ walk away from Siwan town centre where all the restaurants, cafés and shops are located. Apart from that, it’s only a stone’s throw away from a fresh water spring, where it’s perfect for an early morning or mid-afternoon swim. The host, Captain Nair, is super kind, warm and hospitable! He made me feel very welcomed and because I was a solo female traveller, he would check on me when I’m out later in the evening. In fact, he invited me to dinners at the lodge with lovely meals, either prepared by the good Captain himself, or his lovely housekeeper, Safie! The lodge is very tastefully decorated and kept very clean. The one-room apartment that I stayed in was very cosy and was sufficiently equipped with kitchen appliances, such as; electric kettle, toaster oven and a fridge. I will definitely stay at Paloma Lodge again, when I come back to Siwa!! It was a very enjoyable and cosy homestay which felt like you are with family. A home away from home.

Ali is the best Host. He wants always the best for you. He always smiles and friendly. The room was authentic clean and big. Breakfast was amazing, free salt room for relaxing. Excellent

Absolutely everything! Atmosphere just like home. I really like that they have chickens and ducks and sitting and watching them is very relaxing. There’s a special bungalow for yoga & meditation sessions and if someone looking for everyday yoga practice this bungalow will be the hotspot. Hospitality is 100+ I was really surprised. Cleanliness is everywhere. The bungalows, common areas and grounds are very clean and this was a huge plus for me especially when you came after Cairo))

The lodge was really beautiful and respecting the local architecture. The staff and the owner of the lodge were really friendly and helpful organising our trips there. We would definitely come back to the same place!

No restaurants or shops around. Home-Cooked Meals: The owner, a proficient cook, offers delectable home-cooked meals. It's worth noting that the menu's consistency varies and leans towards carbs, sugar, and fats due to the owner's vegan preferences. Under Construction: The ongoing construction indicates efforts to enhance the ecolodge, promising an improved experience in the future.
