There is a quite large yard in the back. You can walk to the old Bernburg city center (pedastrian street and schloss) for 15 minutes, or drive in 3 minutes.

But the best thing was discovering Bernburg -- had never heard of it, and now know what a beautiful place it is. Only sorry that the restaurant was fully booked and so I never got to try the beer. (Took a bottle home, though.)
