Very attractive town of 30,000 people.
Very attractive town of 30,000 people. Lovely older, traditional buildings in the city centre with excellent choice of pubs and restaurants. People are friendly and helpful, Only drawback is lack of public transport. You need a car or taxi to get around the area. We attended a wedding 5km away and had to use taxis. Most drivers don’t speak English, so we had to get other people to book for us so we could attend the wedding. The town has lots of walking and cycle paths, a canal/river system and lovely public spaces,. It truly is a charming town. We stayed 3 nights and (apart from attending the wedding and spending time with friends) we had a delightful time wandering the streets, using the canal paths and eating at the local restaurants, pubs and cafes.

Having absolutely all you need (complimentary coffee /tea in the room, decent room size, new furniture, super clean, nice bathroom, everything super functionally thought out. Didn't have time to check out the gym. I was sorry I couldn't stay longer.EdgarSingapore

The rooms were clean and quiet with a very nice view of the Ems river. Breakfast was good with reasonable options. Free parking is also available for the guests.
