FAQs about hotels in Rust
On average, 3-star hotels in Rust cost $144 per night, and 4-star hotels in Rust are $172 per night. If you're looking for something really special, a 5-star hotel in Rust can be found for $143 per night, on average (based on Booking.com prices).
Set between the Rhine River and the Black Forest, Rust is a small German town that is best known for its huge Europa Park. The largest theme park in Germany, it only comes second behind Disneyland Paris as Europe’s most popular amusement park.
The park’s 16 themed zones contain a variety of high-adrenaline rides as well as attractions for little kids. There are also shows, a 4D cinema and various eating establishments all over the complex.
In addition to the elaborately designed hotels within Europa Park, Booking.com has a fantastic range of Rust accommodations including hotels with outdoor pools, apartments with parking, and cheap guesthouses.
However, this is of course not the only reason to visit. The Baden-Württemberg region has some wonderful cycling routes, and the hills to the east of Rust are also popular for hiking.
The town is located less than an hour drive from the Black Forest spa resort of Baden-Baden and the colorful city of Freiburg. Each route passes by lush vineyards and little towns with half-timbered houses. Historic Strasbourg is over the border with France to the north, while Basel to the south is a lesser-known Swiss gem.

Rust is just for Europa Park visits, and does not offer much for other expectations. But EP is very amazing, especially for families. A 2-day visit was ideal for us, but depending on the kids' ages and joy, a few more days can be worth it. (Also parents have joy, too!)

Rust is a fantastic little town in South West Germany.
Rust is a fantastic little town in South West Germany. Plenty of eateries, bars and bakeries. Europa Park, Germanys biggest, and probably one of the best Theme Parks in the world is on its doorstep, as is Rulantica Water Park.
Good base for Europa/Rulantica and visiting Black Forrest.

The great secret about visiting Europa Park with the family...
The great secret about visiting Europa Park with the family is the adjacent town of Rust. You can either sit in the traffic jam that morning with the entire rest of south western Germany, Switzerland and France, or you can stay the night before with the family, have a leisurely breakfast and then either catch the local bus over or walk, depending on your hotel's location. It's nicer than the Europa Park parking experience, and staying in Rust gives you somewhere to collapse with the family after a long day on the rides. There's hotels with parking, supermarkets for the essentials and cheap family restaurants. It feels like a cheat code few others have found yet for an enjoyable stay.

Rust is geared around Europa Park and Rutlantica.
Rust is geared around Europa Park and Rutlantica. We should have hired a car as unless we were in the parks there was very little to do. The parks are fabulous and great fun, we had a blast in them and will be back. The people of Rust are really friendly, there are plenty of places to eat on a night however nothing is open through the day for food (apart from one kiosk outside the front gates).
Rust is very pretty but quiet.

One half of our group spent 2 days at Europapark but the queues were at least an hour long for each ride, for a ride which was 1’. Saying that though, it was a public holiday on the Thursday. When we drove off on Friday, not a public holiday, the traffic jams coming into Rust from every highway as horrendous….
The other half of us rode our MTBs to Schwarzwald (30’ by bike away), which was amazing with beautiful trails and bakeries along the way to stop at.
This clean, well appointed 1 bedroom apt, with beds for six and a functional kitchen, in the basement of the house owned by the hosts, on a quiet street, only a 5 min walk to Rust shuttle bus stop (5 min bus ride to Europa Park/Rulantica). Anita and her daughters were amazing hosts. They speak excellent English and were so helpful in arranging transportation to/from train station. They provided great info and even helped me setup a German Sim Card in my phone. Highly recommend for families visiting Rust for Europa Park.
Ideal location, 20 minutes to Europa Park on foot, surrounded by places to eat of an evening. Pool and hotel bar/restaurant were great value for money too. There’s two super markets 10 minutes walk away. Free local bus to Rulantica ever 30 mins.
The staff couldn’t do anymore for us, they even added balloons and beers to our room for my boyfriend’s birthday. Bedrooms were huge and had everything we needed. Honestly couldn’t fault it.
Everything was super. Parking, easy to find, super friendly receptionists, the hotel is very lovely and the room has a good size for a short stay when visiting Europa park and all very clean. The breakfast was delicious. For the dinner we got good recommendations nearby.
We stayed in one of the Europa park hotels the following night and regretted immediatly. Will definitely book Moxy hotel for entire stay next time when visiting.
The place is really nice. Walking distance to the center of Rust and the Europe Park entrance. Quiet neighborhood. Very kind and friendly host Gabriele. Nice buffet breakfast and fridge against small charge at constant disposal. Really clean and well taken care of. A barcode to not pay for the Europe Park parking. All in all, everything was very good. We enjoyed our stay there, even though it was short - just for a night.
Staff was friendly. Breakfast was good. EuropaPark is just 15 mins by foot. The Hotel has a shuttle service every 5 mins to Europa Park from 8:30 am to 10:30 am. If you EXIT from EuropaPark from Spanish Arena (you can't enter from here as this is reserve only for people staying at EuropaPark Resorts), the Hotel is just 3-4 mins walk. That was really good.
There are few eating places and a superstore nearby
Great staff, willing to go above and beyond. Super friendly, feels more like a home than a hotel, and it really showed. Also, the candies in the room were a nice touch, and the beds were honestly comfier than I’m used to. Combined with close proximity to Europa Park, solid dining options in and around, and a general sense of comfort, easily a place I would reccomend anyone in the area should use.
Ingrid was absolutely amazing, she went above and beyond for us, there is no laundry service in Rust and she offered to do the laundry by herself, the place is super clean and very big, with fully equipped kitchen and two toilets, Ingrid was very available and responded quickly to every problem or a question we had, thank you very much for everything!
Very clean and tidy property, the owner was very helpful and welcoming on arrival. The apartment had everything we needed for a few nights in Rust visiting Europa Park and Rulantica. Only a 15 minute walk from each - host gave us a free parking voucher to use at each park if we had wanted to drive.
The apartment is renovated, bathroom and Kitchen facilities are designed better than 4 stars hotels. Very nice place for families, and so calm. Location is close to park, walking distance. Restaurants near by. The owner its very respectful and true gentleman.
its amazing !! you feel like in italy !
Family feeling ! positive vibes ! Restaurant , food is amazing too !!! we would like to go again !!!
if you are looking for a place in Rust next to Europapark ! HOTEL CASA RUSTICA is 100% good to choose !!
