Quiet location. The park behind the hotel is nice. Parking was great. The staff was very friendly and tried their best to solve problems.
Due to the restaurant being closed, I was able to order a cold platter which excellent.

The property is very basic but good value for money. The owners are going out of their way to make you feel comfortable, if it’s hopping over to help you buy a train ticket at the station, facilitating a very late breakfast for only you, nothing is too much to ask!

Songes des Vignes is a charming little village surrounded by vineyards. Equally charming, Alexandra our host could not have been more helpful. We arrived on Sunday evening so the local restaurant was closed. She rang a pizzeria in the next town who delivered us a pizza which we ate in Alexandra’s garden (exclusive to guests) in the vineyard with the most amazing views with a bottle of wine that was produced next door! Bliss! We would definitely recommend highly and will certainly come and stay again when travelling through France…

We loved the location. The chateau is beautiful.
We loved the location. The chateau is beautiful.
Our initial room was dark and hot. We had trouble sleeping. Once we were allowed to move to a garden villa everything about the chateau was excellent.
The cost of breakfast when we only wanted a coffee and a croissant was excessive. We went to the cafe across the road instead.
We booked for dinner on our last night only to be told that we were on a waiting list and there was no vacancy. We had a buffet instead. When we finished we noted empty tables in the restaurant. That was a tad disappointing.
On checking out our bill included 250 Euros for a dinner we never had. It was lucky that we checked the bill.
Absolutely beautiful 13th century chateau, masterfully reconstructed. Lovely rooms and beautiful grounds, with 2 pools and spa. Very atmospheric. The restaurant is very good, but expensive and the menu is a bit limited for multiple nights. Staff is lovely but a bit overwhelmed post-COVID. WiFi basically does not exist and the explanation of “thick walls” does not cut it. At these prices, a few more routers are affordable
Well designed, comfortable and cosy room. Delicious and varied breakfast in a nice space with views. Pretty garden to relax and enjoy the beautiful vineyard views and rolling hills. Lovely host Alexandra was warm, welcoming, friendly and accommodating and ensured we had a pleasant and enjoyable stay. Walking distance to local winery and village of Bagnols.
We LOVED this place! very quit area just outside Lyon, the host was super nice, tried to help us get dinner since we got late to the hotel. he arrange our room perfectly and offer us juice. the room was beautiful, very clean and special. there's a warm pool that was very nice, everything was just perfect. will come back in the future
