Nice place with good services. Coud enjoy the swimming pool which was quite big, and had good dinner and breakfast. River nearby and historic building make the hotel special from the inside and outside.

Was made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived and appreciated the time Alan took with us as we checked in being very informative about the property and the surrounding area. B&B has many different types of rooms/lodges and all have been done to a very high spec and the room we stayed in was immaculately clean and had everything we needed with many nice homely touches. Was greeted by both Alan and Avril for breakfast where i thoroughly enjoyed my full Scottish breakfast and again was very well looked after by both.

Very friendly and helpful staff. We joined the IHG rewards programme and were allowed to check out much later. Big spacious room. Comfortable bed. Decent enough breakfast. Simple to park for free at the retail park next door. Fantastic value for money.

My room & ensuite were clean & tidy. Staff were exceptional - the housekeeping ladies I liaised with were Mari and Charlene when I asked for a few more milk pods and extra toilet paper roll. I did not have the opportunity to try out the hotel's catering facilities as family kept me plied with food haha, but I would recommend the Commercial Hotel to anyone needing accommodation in the area. Everyone was so friendly, from the check in desk, to the young man who helped carry a large suitcase up to my room, to the cleaners to the patrons.

Everything. Staff were particularly welcoming and helpful. The stay would have been perfect but being essentially near the motorway, I had to wear earplugs to have a good sleep. The view from the room is beautiful. Enjoyable stay. Will use this hotel again.
