I grew up with my family residing between Nottage Porthcawl and France. The Seabank has pride of place on our Esplanade, built in the Art Deco style its lends a touch of faded opulence. My former friends family used to manage the Seabank in the 1970s.At one time my dear grand-dad who had a title and knew all the late Royals was a chef there.I like the spacious lounges+the wooden staircase with paintings. Also a special mirror underneath a canopy ceiling.I shall move back to Porthcawl.

The street lighting of the local - and major roads - was intermittent. In some areas of road - including the M4 - there is NO lightning at all, yet the speed limit on these pitch black windy country lanes is 60mph!?! Felt VERY nervous driving to or from anywhere in the area in the dark. Pubs stop serving food almost everywhere at about 2000 Mon-Thurs, which is not helpful if you’ve been out further afield for the day.
However, the majority of the pubs we did get to - especially the local ones - served tasty cheap food and were (for the most part) welcoming to outsiders.
It is a very nice and cozy B&B with very friendly owners. The room number 4 has got a beautiful, large bathroom and a fantastic, king size bed. The mattress was very comfortable. Hotel is situated close to M4 so you have got easy access to make some fantastic trips. Thank you Phil for lovely weekend
It was in a perfect location for attending a wedding at Margam Country Park. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The room was great and the breakfast plentiful. It was lovely to see all the animals - hens, ducks, geese, sheep, turkeys, pigs etc!
It’s a great location by M4 and easy to get to Bridgend where my training course was. Similar price to a brand hotel, but so much nicer.
The breakfast there was loads of choice and nothing was too much trouble.
Excellent location close to Margam Park and nearby towns and villages.
Good sized rooms, nice bathrooms, decent help yourself style breakfast in the morning.
Excellent host who was very friendly and welcoming.
Hosts were friendly and helpful, loved the farmhouse. The room was comfortable and there is a free parking. Close to Margam park and Kenfig nature reserve.
