Beautifully decorated room and bathroom. I liked the style of old and modern industrial. It was very clean. Good size room for one/two people. Plenty of storage.
It had everything I needed, bathrobes and even Earl Grey teabags.
Bright bathroom, loads of places for toiletries.
I also had breakfast and it was excellent. Great selection of usual breakfast and continental food, nice comfortable atmosphere.
A roaring log fire and fantastic views of Cardiff and the beautiful Vale of Glamorgan make this hotel and its restaurant an ideal venue.

Capital of Wales, Cardiff is a wonderfully green city steeped in national pride. At its heart is enormous Bute Park, divided by the River Taff and named after the marquis that once lived in Cardiff Castle overlooking it. In fact, this is just one of 5 castles within the surrounding area.
Over the road is Cathays Park, a beautiful square flanked by Edwardian architectural masterpieces including Cardiff City Hall and the excellent National Museum of Wales. Another must-see is St Fagan’s National History Museum, one of Britain’s top attractions.
From Victorian arcades to the fabulous St David’s Centre, shopping in Cardiff is a delight. And there’s no shortage of pubs and restaurants in which to rest awhile. Those by Cardiff Bay offer particularly pleasant views.
Also by the bay are the futuristic National Assembly for Wales and the Wales Millennium Centre. Another year 2000 landmark is the Millennium Stadium, a state-of-the-art venue for international rugby and football matches, as well as concerts. Next door is Cardiff Arms Park, home to the city’s rugby union team, while Cardiff City FC’s new stadium is in the west.
Cardiff Airport is further west near Barry and Booking.com have an excellent range of hotels, B&Bs and apartments both near there and in the city centre.
The people in Cardiff were so friendly! Everywhere we went - we were met with friendly faces. It really made our trip that much better. I'd love to go back for a longer visit. The town itself was also nice! We had the vegetarian burger at Cedar Tree Farm restaurant - delicious!

We enjoyed the great shopping facilities with plenty of choice. Very friendly people and good atmosphere everywhere. The Christmas market also added to the ambience and we enjoyed Welsh cakes and warm spicy cider.

Cardiff is fine, its worth seeing for a short time.
See the city, see the castle (although some wasn't avail to us). The nightlife seemed busy.
the weather was terrible so that was a big damper. Rain and cold.
Outside of Cardiff was nice to see.

This is a hidden gem.
This is a hidden gem. I loved the Cardiff Castle, and I took two tours of Principality Stadium, the normal tour and the trek that takes us to the walkways over the top of the dome (with zip-lining!). Public transport is easy, and the city center is a hoppin', happenin' place. I loved it!

The national museum, the museum of Cardiff and the castle...
The national museum, the museum of Cardiff and the castle are all very interesting - especially the extra guided tour of 19th century room in the castle. We also went to the docks area to see the senate, very interesting. Bute Park is a beautiful, quiet place for a stroll with lovely trees. Plenty of good restaurants in the city centre, and the city market and arcades have a great atmosphere with interesting shops.

Parking place near the hotel, must be booked separately, but worked perfectly. Breakfast is worth the money, as you can even have pancakes. The location is great as both the city centre as the Bay of Cardiff can be reached easily by foot. The furniture in the rooms are basic, but the room was clean and the bed comfortable. The staff was always friendly and supportive.
It is a really nice hotel, in a very good location. The staff are super friendly and they even let us check-in earlier than the mentioned timings. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable, we slept really well there. We could easily catch a bus from the hotel (4-5 mins walk) to the city centre and Cardiff bay.
The location was convenient for what we required, and it was easy to walk down to the bay area.
The room/bed was a little small, but is that is standard for many city centre hotels.
Lots of little store close by to enable you to go an grab drinks, and food.
The recommended carpark is close by, and easy to find.
Location - great location and able to easily access attractions such as the castle and city centre. Around a 30 minute walk to Cardiff Bay. Access to the spa facilities made it a nice extra touch to the stay. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel was pretty quiet considering the location.
Well located close to the city centre and Cardiff Bay also a short walk to the local train station should you want to visit Barry Island. Had a short weekend break with friends, bedrooms were just right in terms of size, beds very comfortable.
