I was so impressed with everything about my stay - from the ferry ride across to the ferry ride back! I arrived at the hotel later in the evening, and Lucian the owner and Mio the concierge were waiting at the door to help me unload before I even got out of the car! Such a great welcome, a beer for later even. Check in was so easy, again Lucian had everything ready. The room was immaculate, stocked with plenty of towels, and a porch that opened up to a cool ocean breeze. The breakfast service was delicious - fresh fruit, sliced meats, breads, coffee, cereals...whatever you want! I had forgot my swimming trunks, and when I asked Mio where I should go - he took me out to his car and drove me to the store and negotiated the best price for me! 😀 the stay on-island was like a paradise; the ocean, sun, but really the high point was dealing with Lucian and his sister Beatriz. Check out was just as easy, Beatriz was so charming and engaging I didn't want to leave. Thank you all - I look forward to returning soon!

Joel is combination of beautiful, unobtrusive design and luxurious comfort. All the windows in hotel have magnificent views of mediterranian surroundings, there is relaxing music in the background and a lot of space for a low number of guest (it is aparthotel, after all), so you can be sure to find a little bit of peace and quite for yourself.
Rooms are super comfy, with enormous bed, again a lot of space, beautiful view and fully equipped kitchen.
What we liked most in Joel is true Croatian hospitality. In the background it is a family run hotel and you can feel it. And yes, there may be some tinniest details that could be improved, but nothing that could in any way jeopardize your perfect holiday :)

Is very good place for making party, nice sun bathing , swimming and also water sport like Jet Sky , Banana boat etc.. is available. Very good is the very close distance to Zrce-Beach in case of festivals. Thanks a lot to Novalja - Croatia. I love this country.

You have to search for a bit to find a "fine-dining" restaurant, most of the food available are snackbars or other microwaved diners. Novalja is really close to Zrce-beach. This is a very cool clubbing area, make sure to bring some cash and be sure to go here at least once, it is amazing. We went a a party-boat from "Festini", this was a lot of fun and I do recommended others to also go on one of these party-boats. The beaches in Novalja are a lot of painful stones, I highly recommend "Babe Beach", a 30min walk(/5min drive), since the center of babe beach isn't stones but just sand. A lot better then the Novalja beach which is only stones. I don't recommend driving around in Novalja for fun, the streets are small with a lot of pedestrians on the street. Taxi's are really cheap when u use an app like Uber or Bolt.

The place is beautiful, but the main problem is the people. Maybe not all but most of them are rude and unprofessional. Seems like your just a number to them, they are there to make money and they don't hide it at all. Waiters slams the menus on your table and demand tips for mediocre service. They always try to empty tourists' wallets and if they see that you are trying to save some money they notice it and they treat you even worse. If you go to the discos in Zrce you wind overpriced cocktails, lot of drunk and drugged people and bodyguards that are just waiting for you to do a mistake to lay their hands on you.
The sea is ok, the beaches are very dirty and windy. There's lots of rocks in the sea, not easy to enter and exit the water without having pain in your feet.
A good place if you have tons of money to spend and to make the people treat you good. If you are on a budget, go somewhere else.

With it's beach and port for a relaxing day, and it's clubs in the Zrce Beach area for fun during the night, this city is just what the "doctor" ordered <3
This is my 4th time returning to this place, and I'll return for sure with each occasion <3
The host is very generous and willing to help should you need anything.Even 2 cooled welcome beers were available.Apartment is smaller but all you need, clean fully furnitched. Up to 5min walking distance groceries Plodine, Konzum and some other. The apartment is in the busy old town centre. The city Beach right at the corner and the second at 0.9km.The Zrce Beach up to 3 km. A regular 15 min Bus service available to the Zrce Beach..Value for the money very good if not excelent.
The pool area was very nice and very clean. The people who owned the property were very nice and made very good food - I particularly recommend the lasagne! The rooms are in good condition and all facilities work well. The location is the main selling point for us as a couple who were attending a festival at zrce beach, the walk to the beach is only about 10/15 minutes and it was very easy to get taxis to the main town of novalja.
we like everything, form the cleanliness to the comfort of the zone. it is 15 minutes walking from Zrce beach and 5 minutes from the beach. You can reach the supermarket by taxi which is cheap and the restaurant in front of the beach is so helpful. The owner is one of the best I have ever known, so kind and nice. I recommend this apartment both to group of friend and families.
I love Basilica hotel . Very good location , less than 5 mins walk to the beach and old town . Such a beautiful hotel . Very clean . Also only cost €6 for Uber ride to Zrce beach party . The staff are amazing . Mateo is so kind . He even let me used his lap top to changed my flight . I definitely recommend this hotel when you come to Novajla. See you back soon Basilica
Amazing new clean apartment! We really enjoyed the stay. Very nice view. We really appreciate that every room has own bathroom! Perfect location - It is very close to the city center or Zrce beach. :) There is deposit of 100€ per person, needs to be taken into the account.
Great location, in-between Zrce Beach and Gajac, which provides a great balance between the party scene and family time. Our host Ema was fantastic, provided great recommendations around town for food/partying. Had a great experience, would highly recommend.
Hosts were friendly, the apartment itself was nice and clean. Loved the big balcony. Has a bedroom and a bed in the living room too. The aircon was very good. Its in the perfect location if you are visiting Novalja or ZRCE beach. Would certainly stay again!
The room and the terrace were big, the air con and wifi were good, the staff were helpful and friendly. Good location for a little beach at the end of the road, good for bus stops for the shuttle to Zrce beach if people are coming for one of the festivals.

Location was great if you're going to Zrce beach. It was a 15 mins walk to Noa club and 25 mins walk to Kalypso. As a hostel, it provided the basic necessities and space for parking. Please note that there is no elevator in the building.
