The restaurant in the lobby was great. Lots of places to sit and meet up with friends and to just have a drink. The room was beautiful — luxurious even.

Portmarnock itself beautiful. Safe beach, great walk between Portmarnock and Malahide and great golf. Can recommend Lali’s local restaurant, Jameson’s bar at the Portmarnock hotel and Malahide for bars, restaurants and retail therapy

We stayed here to be close to the airport because we had an early AM departure. It was an easy 15 min drive to DUB via back roads. The hotel was fabulous, the ocean views were spectacular and the room was very clean.

Fantastic location on a beautiful wide beach with wonderful walking possibilities eg 45 minutes to Malahide on coastal promenade, also great walks from Howth on headland in opposite direction, choice of 6k, 7k and 11k walks. Howth itself is a pretty fishing village with lots of fresh fish for sale and restaurants around the harbour area. Malahide Castle also a short drive with its lovely grounds and Avoca restaurant. Also a great value hotel with lots of quality and service for the money. Reception staff really helpful and breakfast super. Golf course is beautiful, quite expensive but deals available on the hotel’s website. I think the hotel would be more expensive if it had a pool and maybe tennis courts. But the beach on your doorstep makes up if the weather is good. Highly recommend, 9.5 out of 10

The location of the hotel is a significant benefit; The advantage of being so convenient to Malahide in one direction and Howth in another direction provides for additional options. The quality of meals was excellent despite the restrictions posed by the ongoing pandemic (Covid 19).

Portmarnock Hotel and Golf is one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in.This was our third stay and we will go again as soon as we can. Wonderful facilities, staff and surroundings. Highly recommend it to anyone
White Sands Hotel was our base for a family gathering to remember a loved one who had died the year before. We all arrived at various times from places as far away as the Caribbean and as close as Trim. The Hotel was our home from home for a week and we had everything we needed - good food in the Oasis restaurant, a convivial atmosphere in the bar, coffee on the terrace, quiet "sitting room" areas, friendly and efficient staff. Plus a beautiful beach for long walks, right at our doorstep!
The hotel will store your luggage until you can check in. The room and bathroom were a decent size. There was a large closet and a dresser as well as a desk and a chair in the room. The bed, pillows, and linen were comfortable. The hotel is on the coast and I was given a room with the ocean view. The room faces the street, but was still pretty quiet. I didn't have a car, but the hotel seems to have an adequate parking lot. There is a restaurant on site.
The room was lovely, clean, as expected.
The bar area was quite pleasant also.
I had dealings with the hotel staff in the run up to my stay as I had alot of bookings under my name.
Lorraine was very helpful with any queries I had also another lady who was working with Lorraine, unfortunately I cannot remember her name.
The setting is absolutely beautiful, the beach is a stones throw away and just a short bus or taxi into Malahide, or a train journey to Dublin. The rooms were beautiful and the ladies at reception were the best staff I’ve ever met - they were so friendly and helpful! Can’t wait to come back.
fabulous property, the 5 km long beach is perfection, the golf course and landscaping lovely beyond belief. Nice pub with B+ food, breakfast was fine. Room was posh and fully equipped. We wished we'd booked a couple more nights.
Our entire hotel stay was above par. We enjoyed the fantastic views and comfortable accommodation. We ate at the hotel for dinner and breakfast and we enjoyed every meal. We will definitley be back.
The location across from the beach was fabulous and as I was attending a concert in Malahide it was a perfect location with the bus stop to Malahide just outside the hotel, so convenient.
