Really enjoyed our stay here. Loved the location for “camping”. The tents have everything you need. We got a braai and breakfast basket from the camp and it was great. We loved cooking our dinner on the fire pit and the sides were tasty. Really liked that out tent overlooked the pond.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. It's a lovely, homely facility on an ostrich farm. Breakfast and supper were wholesome and tasty. Good choices of food. The facility is relatively close to Cango Caves and Cango Wildlife Ranch. Beautiful surroundings. We really enjoyed our stay.

Quiet. Comfy bed. Nicely appointed room. Very nice attention to detail made us feel welcome. My wife and I really enjoyed sitting on the porch with a glass of wine and sitting by the pool with a bottle of beer. We also enjoyed meeting other guests during breakfast. Easy walk to Karusa Winery (which also makes craft beer).

Thorntree Country Lodge is conveniently located on the R328 between Oudtshoorn and the famous Cango Caves. The guest house offers views of the picturesque Schoemanshoek Valley.
