Lovely staff who go out of their way to help you. Even arranged a vet's appointment for tapeworm treatment for our dog to be able to return to uk. Beautiful food all organic and locally sourced . Fantastic location for walking and nature.. Saw a wild boar in the garden late one evening and deer and lots of redstarts among other birds . Also convenient for ferry terminal at Bilbao. So friendly and Marco and Jan are a very good team.

Everything. The house is immaculately built and located by the river estuary into the Bay of Biscay. There are countless nature spots surrounding the house, hiking trails, beaches etc. The view from the house to the river is beautiful. The house also generates it's own electricity.

Casa rural garro is incredible! I would honestly recommend going out of your way to get there, as it’s such a unique experience. The building is very old and beautiful, with an amazing terrace from which we read and listened to nature around us. Nearby there is a stream with a waterfall where you can swim- amazing. And a beautiful walk you can do down the Camino to a nearby monastery. What made our stay really special was our host, who was so kind, and also fascinating to talk to. He was incredibly generous, making incredible breakfasts and offering endless cakes for us to try. On our last day he drove us to the bus stop which was really lovely of him. We would love to go back!
