This hotel was a pleasant surprise on our itinerary, a hotel where you feel at home, with incredible staff and a wonderful breakfast, there weren't lots of things but things were selected, I still dream about the goat cheese at the cafe... wonderful.

The traditional old Masseria and remote location yet very close to Galatina which is a beautiful old town. Alberto is an excellent host.

Masseria La Fica is very popular amongst the masserias and for good reason. It's the local specialty cheese farm, has a cheese shop on site and they provide tours of the farm animals and cheese making. They have a cow/sheep/goat ricotta that I haven't seen anywhere else. We stayed for 3 days. Mariana was an excellent host and extremely responsive, even though she was juggling a newborn with the 3rd generation family farm. Location: it's quiet and remote, but conveniently 20 minutes between Lecce and Nardo, and 10 minutes to grocery shopping and other services in Galatina. It's adjacent to a NATO air training base, and we appreciated seeing the jets. Room: we stayed in the larger room, which was very functional and well thought out. The kitchenette was entirely useable for cooking. They were regularly doing small upgrades/improvements while we were there. Breakfast: they custom made the breakfast, which included the most delicious cheeses we had for our five week southern Italy trip. Espresso was continuously on demand with their massive pod unit. Summary: highly recommended farm ambience and extraordinary service, partly due to a family trained in multi-tasking and resourcing to the needs around them.

The family was amazing, very friendly and warm. The rooms were decorated with a lot of attention for detail and everything was clean and comfy. We had the "family dinner" which I'd totally recommend! Hearty italian homemade comfort food. Also, the atmosphere of the place was very peaceful and invited to relax. We'd definitely go again! :)

Warm and elegant staffs were so caring. Every corner of the building were ancient and modern charm. Linen was spotless and furnitures were antique. You can use swimming pool anytime rent a bike and you can learn about history of this masseria. In cooking class you can make fresh pasta and torta caprese which is chocholate cake from Amalfi. Breakfast in garden was also great.

Gianna and Rino are excellent hosts. I don’t know what to highlight. Accomodation is so nice and felt like I came back to my granny place. So cosy and seeet. And the food….I would say that Rino is excellent chef and food here is really amazing. Gianna spoiked us every morning for breakfast serving so many home made delicacy with so much love. Big thanks. I wish I can come back sometimes.
