The unit we rented, The Lady Grey Suite, had more than enough space. We were happy to find that one if the bedrooms actually had a king size bed, which was super comfortable. We loved using the braai every night as the stars came out and the temperatures cooled. The size of this place was more than enough for two of us. There are two floors, with living space and kitchen downstairs, and more living space plus two bedrooms and bathroom upstairs. Even though this is only listed as having one bathroom, there is actually a separate room for the shower, which also has a sink in it. So in terms of teeth brushing and general getting yourselves ready in the morning, it's like having two bathrooms. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of tea, coffee, and sugar. There were also some single serve packets of milk in the refrigerator. Gale is an attentive host and will make you feel right at home. She left us a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc in the refrigerator and offered us a private wine tasting while we were there. She gave us her number so we could contact her anytime with questions or issues. We were amazed at what an incredible people person she is. The entire estate is secure with a 24 hour staffed entry gate. Once you are through the gate, the accomodation area is still another mile or so away. It is inside a separate fenced in area, for which we were given a remote control to access. It is a very quiet and relaxing scene. The pool is beautiful, with stunning views and a nicely maintained grassy area around it with some gardens. If you like mountain biking and trail running, you'll be hard-pressed to find a better spot to stay. Trails are just steps from the door and are well-maintained for efficient climbing and maximum flow on the downhills. I rented a bike from shop in Pearl, and they delivered to me and picked it up for only a $25 extra fee. Super convenient.

We stayed in one of the vineyard rooms, which was really lovely! Nice big bedroom and big bathroom and massive bed! Very light and spacious with everything you need, good A/C, balcony etc, the room was fantastic and the views over the vineyard were lovely. It takes about 30s to walk from the rooms to the reception, which is attached to the Savoye restaurant (the site's main restaurant), of which the pool is right in front of, which makes it a really great place to stay in terms of really easily dipping in and out of the pool > to breakfast > popping back to the room etc. The staff were lovely too. There's a complimentary wine tasting with the booking which was great and really informative, our staff member was excellent. A small shop just by the wine tasting too. It's one of the smaller vineyards but I would say that it made it a really lovely place to stay. I'd definitely recommend!

Thoroughly enjoyed our five-night stay at Mon Rêve Estate. It gave us the balance we were looking for – close proximity to spectacular golf courses, wineries, and countryside with the ability to return back to a quiet homestead environment and sip wine on a large covered porch with a stunning view of grapevines and mountains. The cottage also offered a large stone fireplace to braai, which we took advantage of. The owner is welcoming and friendly, and eager to provide nearby recommendations. The cottage itself was well laid out and provides all the amenities for a pleasant stay, including luxury toiletries. We hope to return!

Very friendly staff! We arrived in the evening and they made everything for us to feel comfortable, put order in the kitchen so we can have dinner, brought everything in our room as we asked. Very beautiful interior and surroundings!

Breakfast was amazing by a young chef by the name Luke. Location was excellent for us as we were focusing on wineries in Franschhoek & Stellenbosh. We also rested a car so we were mobile in the area.

A magnificent 17th century manor house. We were lucky to stay in the main building - it is a real palace with antique furniture, bathrooms and a huge living room. In the morning, an excellent breakfast was served in the room with a fireplace - very pleasant in bad weather. Next to the hotel there is a charming winery Fairview with good wine and goat cheese tasting. We were recommended restaurants in the city of Paarl where we could have dinner in the evening. I really hope to return to Diamond Estate in the summer)
