Das Steigenberger El Tahrir genießt unter den Hotels in Kairo eine spektakuläre Lage am Platz El Tahrir. Very nice hotel, clean, comfortable and excellent location. We had a minor issue with a floor lamp which was dealt with super quickly, but that was not enough: We were offered an upgrade as well. Not necessary, but of course appreciated. The new room was closer to the street however, and we had issues sleeping as traffic in Cairo is... Well, louder than what we are used to. I asked if it was at all possible to move us again (and would have been perfectly fine with returning to the room we previously had, upgrade or not!) - and not only was my request granted, but we actually received yet another upgrade, to a suite in a quiet area. And as if this was not enough, we even had a very kind surprise waiting for us in the room (beautiful rose petals on the bed and in a bubble bath, it was our honeymoon). Amazing service, absolutely above and beyond expectations. A big thank you to the Assistant Front Office Manager, Mr. Mahmoud Hamza, who was incredibly kind, thoughtful and accommodating. The whole staff also deserve a compliment. I would absolutely recommend the Steigenberger El Tahrir if you're considering a visit to central Cairo - and I will return to the brand when I visit a location where they are present.

Dieses Hotel – günstig gelegen im Bezirk Gartenstadt – befindet sich 1 km von Tahrir-Platz, 1,5 km von Ägyptisches Museum Kairo und 2,9 km von Fernsehturm Kairo entfernt. Compared to other hotels this one stands out extremely! Super clean, comfortable, and there is free laundry and you can get anything from the restaurant right near your room. Especially Badr was very nice!

I have stayed at other St. Regis hotels and so, I had high expectations. The Cairo hotel is superb. The quality of the bedding, the linens are the finest I have experienced as a seasoned traveller and someone well-versed in the business of linens. This is truly special as Egyptian cotton is the finest in the world, and it is nice the hotel put a focus on it. The breakfast is fantastic in the range and quality of offerings, the impeccable service provided by the staff, and, importantly the early and late hours it is open. I had room service which was top of the line in its selections and service. The facility, and rooms are gorgeous. No detail overlooked. The staff is polished, friendly, knowledgeable and eager to serve. Outstanding hotel in every respect.
