I really loved the smell when I first entered my room and I was able to check in at 10am which is nice. Pool is large and water is perfect temperature, staff also carried all of my bags all the way to the pier which is a lifesaver because there are no roads it’s just sand everywhere. Plenty of sunbeds to use so you never have to fight for one and wifi works well.

Quiet and peaceful hotel in an excellent location (close by palace, riverfront, independence square, with a little paradise of a garden. The staff was all super friendly and helpful, throughout our 6-day stay. Room was clean, and nicely designed. Access to a second (rooftop) pool of the sister hotel (Penh house) a few doors down is a big plus.

After long days of visiting the temples around the Angkor Wat area, we were so happy to come back to the hotel and enjoy the beautiful pool and amazing food. The hotel has everything you need for a comfortable stay: a big room, a comfortable bed, a bathtub on the balcony (nice touch) - everything made in an old colonial style. But what makes The Elephant special and what made it a temporary home for us is the staff. All the people working in the hotel were so kind, helpful, gentle and friendly. Thank you for making our time in Siem Reap wonderful! We hope to come back one day.
