Clean, comfortable room - ample space. Bathroom with walk in shower. We booked a room with a balcony which led into the pool. Staff very helpful and attentive. Great location - quiet but only a 10 mins walk to the Main Street.

The view of the Mekong, especially at sunset, is so beautiful that you may forget to finish your coctail. Breakfast is fresh, really tasty and different every morning. The massage is great. The resort is a longer walk from the center of Luang Prabang, but the road is not friendly for walking. It's better to drive. The resort offers transportation to the city and you can easily get back. The resort also offers excursions. If Luang Prabang city vacation is interesting, one can split the time so that half at On the Mekong Resort and half in the city. We did so and were very satisfied. However, looking back, if there was only one stop to choose from, it would be On the Mekong Resort.
