Very convenient location to stay a few days in Basel. A little bit out of the centre of Basel, but excellent access to the city using public transport, which comes for free with the guest card. Covered free parking across the road. This must be the 4th time we have stayed here. Very friendly staff.
The Hotel Balegra is located on the outer ring of Basel, 8 minutes from the Basel SBB Train Station by tram number 8. The city center and the fairgrounds are reachable in 15 minutes by tram.

Great service!! The front desk gave us lots of excellent information and helped us find a dinner spot and book the reservation for a delicious meal!! Rooms are spacious, very clean, with comfy beds and coffee/tea in the lobby. There’s a good bakery very close and it’s a pretty walk to the centre of town - about 20-30 minutes. Highly recommend!!
