Lisburn is a nice town with plenty of shops and places to eat. Most of the attractions are closed this time of year but the local park is well worth a nice walk around and the town itself has a friendly atmosphere. If driving, there is a one way system in place which can be a little confusing to navigate at times but it is well serviced with public transport.

Lisburn is a friendly walkable town close to 2 airports.
Lisburn is a friendly walkable town close to 2 airports. It offers plenty of restaurants, services and shops. It's also a thriving community with churches, schools, hospital, charity shops and parks, including a river walk and castle grounds plus a linen museum. Bigger shops such M&S and B&Q are on the outskirts. But the little proprietary shops are gems.
There are frequent buses and trains to Belfast if you need a city (and nightlife) and some gorgeous parks not far by car. There are plenty of B&Bs in the farmlands around Lisburn but if you stay in Lisburn itself you won't need a car.

Great location for me in pandemic situation as it allowed me to visit my 85 year old mother for the first time in 18 months providing some respite for my sister while allowing me to meet the government guidelines. Comfortable property. Warm and cosy with modern bathroom and kitchen facilities. Private parking was a bonus.
John our host only uses his local butchers sausages which are delicious and free range eggs, he also made us delicious pancakes, the location is quiet and restfull with a lovely garden and veg plots to explore, the rooms are individually decorated spacious and very clean, roomy shower and separate shower bath much nicer than any hotel. exceptional value for money close to motorway only 20 mins from Belfast. completely different experience to staying in a hotel much homelier and welcoming, will def be back.
The location is excellent, just 2 minutes from shops and restaurants. Free parking is a few mins away but you can park outside the door and pay for parking. The beds were really comfortable. Huge TV in both bedrooms and the main seating area with Netflix, Prime and BBC iPlayer. My kids enjoyed a movie night. Kitchen was well stocked for breakfast with lots of lovely extras. Host was great to deal with. We really enjoyed our stay.
This is a lovely hotel and what stood out is the wonderfully friendly and helpful staff. The hotel is modern, clean and comfortable with everything you need. The hotel food is very good but if you fancy a change there are other nice places in walking distance. Parking is under the hotel and parking of Lisburn Square parking but the parking charges are reasonable.
Will go back next time I'm in NI on business
Stayed here as a stop off. Plenty of room for 2 adults and 2 kids. The room was spotless. The staff couldn't of been nicer. It was a very short drive to Belfast City. Stunning views from the restaurant and the breakfast was lovely. Actually considered cancelling our hotel in the city to stay here longer instead but they were booked up.
We liked the location because it was out of the city area but still close enough to explore it. It’s a cottage on a small farm/reception venue that offers everything you need. A well equipped kitchen for cooking, good heating, lounge area with TV/streaming and a washing machine. We enjoyed the stay a lot.
The hotel is nicely presented and the room very spacious. We were only staying for the night but were very comfortable. The facilities in the room were great such as the large TV and extra pillows. The staff were friendly and helpful and the underground parking was convenient.
Very clean and pleasant staff members, and breakfast is included which is nicely served in the morning. The property consists of other amenities such as en-suite, shared lounge and dining area and a garden. It is very good value for money motel and is all that a person needs.
Lovely scenic country location with beautiful views of surrounding area. We stayed here as we were doing some outdoor activities in Colinglen. It was also very close it Lisburn Leisure Park which had bowling, a cinema and a number of restaurants.
Paddy was very welcoming, and had provided a lot of food and wine to make our stay more comfortable,
the apartment was very nice, and the views out over the countryside and Belfast city were spectacular
A nice well equipped house that is close to Lisburn Town Centre. Host was readily available. On arrival the host had left freshly baked cakes and crisps for our enjoyment - a nice touch
Very nice setting. Easy to get in and out. Very pleasant hosts. Knowledgeable about local restaurants and pubs. Very pretty gardens and landscaping. It felt like being home.
excellent location, 30 min from Belfast, 1.5 hours from the dark hedges. very nicely set up, clean and comfortable. price was very reasonable and the host was super kind.
