Locanda Martelletti, hotel in Cocconato

Locanda Martelletti is a historic building in Cocconato, in the Piedmont region. Rooms have satellite TV and tea/coffee maker. The terraced garden offers panoramic views.

Beautiful location near the top of Cocconato. We had room 9, which had a beautiful view over the rooftops. The furnishings in the room are a little dated, but give a charming atmosphere. Relatively low price for the quality of the hotel. The restaurant was excellent, serving traditional Piedmontese dishes.

Cocconato is a charming town nestled between Asti and Torino. It is literally 2 hours from anywhere on the northern end of Italy. You can easily access the lake region if you wanted to, go to the French border or the Swiss border. The Town itself is very cute. It is very walkable. There are vineyard to visit nearby. It's a great place to go and disconnect. The food in town is delicious. Highly recommend the Canon D'oro, the Pizzeria Trattoria Sottosopra in the town center and the Caffe Bar Roma in the center square.
