Everything exceeded our expectations. We prefer the bath at this hotel to outside ones! Only one couple stayed other than us, so the staff were very attentive. We were fortunate.

Great location very close to the train station. It is located inside a cafe which has a free footbath. The staff were lovely, we arrived an hour early hoping to leave our bags but they actually let us check in early! Free breakfast was a nice touch. They provided information and a basket for the onsens, and you can choose your yukata and geta. The room was very spacious and beautiful. Very comfy bed. The town is absolutely beautiful as are the onsens, we wish we stayed longer. You can experience true Japanese culture here. This room was fantastic value for money.

We had the perfect stay at Tokiwa Bekkan. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. The room was great and gave us the perfect experience of staying in a traditional Japanese-style room. The view of the garden was stunning both in the day and at night. It was a fairly short walk to the bath houses. I think there was a shuttle available from the station but we chose to walk instead. There was a lovely and calm lounge area where there were complimentary drinks to enjoy during certain times. Our stay was excellent value for money - the facilities and service surpassed our expectations.
